How to Train Your Dragon: Flight Academy - optimized VR creatures (2019)

This was an incredibly challenging project with tight schedules and quick turnarounds, not to mention the technical challenges of faithfully converting beautiful DreamWorks HTTYD assets into performant, optimized, but faithful assets. I was responsible for taking proprietary high resolution Dreamworks assets and reprojecting them onto performant/optimized low resolution geometry, uv'ing that geometry for a gaming workflow (udims optimized into a single texture set in most cases), and then fixing and/or creating detail where it didn't exist, and then also converting every PBR pass in Unity's Spec/Gloss workflow and making sure it reads correctly. In some circumstances I created surfaces that matched original lookdev from the films needed from scratch with the same corresponding look.
